Cracktro (from the words crack and intro) is a small visual and musical intro that hacker groups (crackers) inserted at the beginning of a computer game or program they hacked. It was from the mallard that the entire modern demoscene grew. Often, immortality cheats or other patches were embedded in cracktro to make it easier to pass.
